Singapore Airlines will expand its Airbus A380 network this year when it deploys the aircraft on flights to Zurich.
Getting underway on 28 March, the new daily service will replace the existing 12 weekly flights between Singapore and Zurich operated by Boeing 777-300ER planes.
The Swiss city will be the third destination in Europe served by the carrier's A380 aircraft, joining London and Paris.
Singapore Airlines was the first commercial operator to use the superjumbo, launching flights to Sydney in October 2007 and subsequently adding services to Tokyo, Hong Kong and Melbourne. The company claimed that its A380 offers 'unsurpassed standards of luxury and sophistication in air travel'.
Customers in all three classes can make use of the airline's KrisWorld inflight entertainment system, while business passengers are accommodated in a 34-inch-wide seat.
Singapore Airlines will boost its presence in Europe from 28 March with the launch of a direct service to Munich, which will return via Manchester.
