Under the OCA Anti-Doping Rules, both athletes had been notified and have undergone fair Hearing sessions by their respective National Olympic Committees. With in this context, the athlete of Qatar had fully exercised his right to have his B sample tested;. The result confirmed the positive result of the A Sample .The decisions of the Hearings confirmed violations of the OCA Anti-Doping Rules.

After due process according to the rules and procedures of the OCA, it has been determined that the above findings constitute anti-doping rules violations and as such both athletes have been disqualified from the competition as well as the 16th Asian Games and their performances in the competition have been nullified, and the Silver Medal of the Athlete from Qatar has been withdrawn and appropriate adjustment made to the results for both events.

In addition, all relevant documents related to both cases will be forwarded to the athlete’s National Anti doping authorities, the International Amateur Athletics Federation (IAAF), Asian Athletics Association (AAA) and the World Anti-Doping Agency for further action on their part.
