2007 - The Year Of Increasing Tourism India

March 3, 2007 |00:43 |   By : Vijanti

Since 2007 is an important year for India, for celebrating its 60th anniversary of its independence, is chiefly considerable for its presence at ITB as the show’s partner. From the point of view of tourism, 2007 is more over expected to be a major year as it will confirm India’s increasing fame of tourism stage on the world.

It took 30 years for India from its independence to go beyond 1 million inbound up coming. Another nine years were needed by the country to reach up to 3 millions for the very first time, and yet it took only two years that is from 2004-2006 , to reach up to 4 million. The magical 5 million shall be achieved by the end of this year.  India’s tourism has finally grown old, attracting a new level of growth – and numbers of – inbound tourist arrivals that industry analysts have been predicting for so long.

India has everything what it takes to become the world’s leading tourism destinations. Its attractions are innumerable and extremely varied – from its rich cultural heritage and natural geographic attractions, its wildlife, flora and fauna, to its ethnic diversity, different cuisines and many festivals.

Although India has faced failure to make a portion of the crash of destinations like Thailand on major travel source markets around the world, it for sure has nothing to be jealous of as far as tourism attractions are concerned, and its short- to medium-term tourism predictions are better than they have ever been before.
